Performance index of stretch film

Source:Performance index of stretch filmTime:2021-09-08Visitors:

With the continuous development of the industry, the continuous improvement of its own product technology provides a reliable guarantee for the continuous improvement and maturity of the stretch film.
The stretch film also has good tensile strength, vertical and horizontal elongation of more than 300%, good puncture resistance and tear resistance, high self-adhesiveness, strong tension and other advantages, so it can make the object wrapped into As a whole, prevent the goods from being scattered and collapsed during transportation. So what are the performance indicators of the stretch film?

1. Self-adhesiveness of stretch film
The adhesiveness of the stretched film after contact between the films during the stretching and winding process and after the wrapping can make the packaged product tighten without looseness, and the self-adhesiveness is affected by many external factors. Such as humidity, dust and pollutants. There are two main methods for obtaining self-adhesive films. One is a film with a smooth and glossy surface, and the other is to use additives that increase adhesion to make the surface of the film have a wetting effect, thereby improving adhesion.

2. Toughness of stretched film
Toughness is a comprehensive property of film puncture resistance and tear resistance. Tear resistance refers to the degree of tear resistance of a film when it is pierced under tension. The risk value of the tear resistance must be taken horizontally and perpendicular to the machine operation direction, because tearing in this direction will make the package loose. Even if longitudinal tear occurs, the package can still remain firm.

3. Allowable stretching of stretch film
Allowable stretch refers to the maximum stretch that can be applied to maintain various necessary characteristics in a certain application. Allowable stretching varies with different uses. The larger the allowable stretch, the smaller the amount of film and the lower the packaging cost.

4. Stretching of stretch film
Stretching is the ability of a film to stretch elastically after being stretched. The increase in longitudinal stretching will eventually make the film thinner and shorten the width. Although longitudinal stretching is beneficial, excessive stretching is undesirable. This will make the film thinner and easier to tear, while increasing the tension applied to the package.

5. Stress retention of stretched film
Stress retention refers to the degree to which the tension applied to the film can be maintained during the stretching and wrapping process. Stretching film can not only improve production efficiency, but also prevent goods from being damaged during handling, and play a role in dust-proof and moisture-proof environmentally friendly packaging.
