Stretch film can be said to be one of the best choices for packaging goods now, whether you are packing luggage or packaging goods for express delivery. Moreover, we buy large quantities in the purchase of stretch film, there is no relevant testing tools, how to quickly detect the quality of the film? As far as how to detect the quality of the stretch film, there are two sets of standards, one is the manufacturer's production inspection and acceptance criteria, and the other is a simple test at the time of purchase.
First, the winding film acceptance test standard
Stretch film manufacturers produce acceptance testing standards with special ones, such as tensile testing machine, puncture testing machine, gas permeability tester, thickness measuring instrument, etc.
Second, the simple measurement method at the time of purchase
Many users do not carry these specialized instrument tools when purchasing the wrapping film, so it is necessary to judge according to experience. Generally speaking, it mainly detects from four aspects of appearance, stretching, self-adhesiveness and toughness (puncture performance).
1, appearance
The quality of the stretch film is soft, natural and transparent. Put a newspaper at 20 cm below the stretch film to clearly see the words above, without affecting the reading
A slightly poorly stretched film is distinguished by the addition of a plasticizer, titanium dioxide, etc., which makes the surface look bright and has a strong hand, but the transparency is poor.
2, stretching
Stretching is the ability of a stretched film to produce elastic elongation after being subjected to tension, which is a characteristic of itself. If the quality is good, the length will be extended after stretching, and within a certain range (300%-700%), it will not be broken
The poor quality stretch film has two characteristics
1. The tension is not uniform. When stretching, it is obvious that some places are stretched and thinned, and there is almost no change in some places
2. The stretching rate is small, and there will be a phenomenon of breaking when stretching.
3, self-adhesive
Self-adhesive refers to the adhesion after contact between the wound films. This property enables the packaged articles to be fastened without loosening during and after the stretching and winding process;
Self-adhesive is affected by many external factors, such as humidity, dust and pollutants. The self-adhesiveness of a good stretch film is about 1N/cm2. The ordinary eggs are wrapped with a stretch film and then pressed to the size of the thumb. Can lift the eggs. A poor quality stretch film does not achieve this effect.
4, toughness (puncture resistance)
Toughness refers to the comprehensive properties of the wrap film against puncture and tear resistance. The degree of risk of tear resistance must be transverse, ie perpendicular to the direction of operation of the machine, as tearing in this direction will loosen the package and even if the longitudinal tear occurs, the package remains firm and therefore stretched The better the toughness means the better the quality;
The poor quality of the stretched film is generally not high. It can be wrapped with a stretch film to smear some water with a ballpoint pen. There is no water leakage at a depth of 5 cm, which means that the stretched film has good toughness.
