The use form of stretch film
With the more and more extensive application of stretch film in recent years, the use forms of stretch film have become various. Today, I would like to introduce the use forms of stretch film packaging:
1. Sealed packing
The packaging is similar to shrink-wrap, in which the film wraps around the tray and two hot grips heat-seal the two ends of the film together. This was the earliest form of wrapping film, and more packaging forms were developed.

2. Full width packaging
This packaging requires a film wide enough to cover the tray, the tray shape is regular, so it has its own, suitable for film thickness of 17 to 35
μm.

3. Hand packing
The package is the simplest of the wrapped film packages. The film is mounted on a rack or held by hand, rotated by a tray or wrapped around a tray. Mainly used in the packaging of the damaged pallet repackaging, and ordinary pallet packaging. The packing speed is slow and the suitable film thickness is 15 ~ 20μm.

4. Packaging by stretch film winding machine
This is one of the most common and extensive forms of mechanical packaging, which consists of a tray rotating or a membrane rotating around the tray. The membrane is fixed on the bracket and can be moved up and down. This packing capacity is very large, about 15 ~ 18 plates per hour. Suitable film thickness, about 15 ~ 25μm.

5. Horizontal mechanical packaging
Different from other packing, it is suitable for packing long goods, such as carpet, plank, fibreboard, abnormity material, etc.

6. Packaging of paper tube
This is one of the latest USES for wrapping film, which is better than the old paper tube packaging. Suitable film thickness is 30 ~ 120 
μm.

7. Packaging for small items
This is the latest packaging form of wrapped film, which can not only reduce the consumption of materials, but also reduce the storage space of pallets. In foreign countries, this packaging was first introduced in 1984, only one year later, there are many such packaging forms on the market, this packaging form has great potential. Suitable for film thickness of 15 ~ 30μm.

8. Packing of pipes and cables
This is an example of a specific application of the wound film. The packaging equipment is installed at the end of the production line. The fully automatic stretch film can both replace the tape to bind the material and provide protection. Applicable thickness is 15 ~ 30μm.

9. Tensile form of pallet structure packaging
The packaging of tensile film must be drawn, and the drawing form of pallet mechanical packaging has direct drawing and pre-drawing. Pre-stretching is divided into two types, one is roll pre-stretching, the other is electric stretching.

Direct stretching is done between the tray and the membrane. This method has a low tensile ratio (about 15% ~ 20%). If the tensile ratio exceeds 55% ~ 60%, which exceeds the original yield point of the film, the film width is reduced, the puncture performance is also lost, and the film is easily broken. And at 60% of the tensile rate, the tensile force is still very large, for light goods, it is likely to cause deformation of goods.
The prestretch is done by two rollers. The stretch ratio can vary according to the gear ratio. The pull force is generated by the rotary table. Since the stretch is generated within a short distance and the friction between the roller and the film is large, the film width does not shrink. In fact, no stretching occurs during winding, which reduces the fracture caused by sharp edges or angles. Such pre-stretching can increase the stretching ratio to 110%.
The stretching mechanism of electric predrawing is the same as that of roller predrawing, but the difference is that the two rollers are driven by electricity, and the stretching is completely independent of the rotation of the tray. Therefore, it is more adaptable, suitable for light, heavy and irregular goods. Due to low tension in packaging, the pre-tensile ratio of this method is as high as 300%, which greatly saves material and reduces cost. Suitable for film thickness of 15 ~ 24μm.
